I am officially 23!
It's kinda funny, but being 23 is not all that different from being 22.
...
*shrug* Meh.
It was my birthday yesterday, and it was one of the funnest. The best was my 20th, when Steven proposed to me, but this year's was the funnest. Steven and I went bike-riding all around the city, he bought me some DVDs that I've wanted for a while, we had some lunch together, rode bikes some more, then went home and changed for supper out at Co Co Di's, a nice little Mediterannean-style restaurant downtown from where we live. It was awesome! We got some coupons for free food there (I'm still not entirely sure how), and since it was my birthday, they surprised us with some free baklava! Lebanese baklava! Oooh, boy, I almost melted with ecstasy right then and there! And they also had strawberry juice! I LOVE my stawberries, and Steven was the one to catch that they had it! *Giggles uncontrollably*
As for today, not much going on. I had work again, and I just recently found out that the woman I was subbing in for as Service Coordinator is feeling better now, and is coming back in on Monday! They still want me to stick around though, so I'm not fired (thank heaven!), but I'm gonna have to do some more selling now. Blargh. Hopefully, once the new Downtown store opens, I'll be able to transfer out there. It would be a MUCH shorter commute and easier to get home again, too. Not to mention being more centralized to get ANYWHERE in the city!
Tomorrow is gonna be interesting and fun at the same time. I can't say what will be happening, because they may find out and read it here, but it's gonna be good. I'll tell you later. Something I CAN tell you is that Steven and I are volunteering at Telus World of Science Edmonton again! It's only gonna be a short shift, but they need all the people they can get most weekends. Lots and lots of kids. Amazingly enough, it's remarkably easy to control the kids in the science center, since most of the displays are interactive. It's really sweet watching kids' faces change when you tell them something interesting or show them something different. It's definitely worth any and all time spent chasing them around, trying to keep them from destroying something (kidding!) !
Well, Steven has food ready, so I'm gonna go eat now. Later.
