No noose is good noose

If you know what movie I was quoting there, extra credit to you! :P

Other than that, I got nothing really. A friend of ours who recently got married in December just moved south, I'm not sure where, but he said he would contact us when he's settled, so no worries.

Steven is blazing through 1984 by George Orwell, and he's flipping out, because he's liking it so much. I haven't finished it myself, but what little I can remember was good.

Something that actually rivals that is the movie V for Vendetta. I loved that movie! I still love that movie! I must have it on DVD the minute it comes out! Widescreen! Surround Sound! Extra Features! GLEEEEEEE!

Calm now.
I drew this for my mother for Christmas . . . last year? Or was it the year before? Either way, my oldest brother wanted to put together this scrapbook as a tribute to her, and instead of writing something out, I drew this. And coloured it. I still think it would've worked better if I'd done it with white crayons on black paper. But I didn't have any, so I made do.

Hope you like it. I know Mom did.

I should dig out some of my silhouettes and scan them on here. I've done some really neat stuff over the years, and most of it has been freehand. I even have some designs for superheroes, and a couple of my story characters fleshed out, too. Hmm. I'll have to go excavating. . .

Got summat to say

I saw this linked from a comic my hubby and I read, and I HAD to link it myself! (YAY! I can link all by myself!!) I grew up with Super Mario Bros. (I just dated myself there) and I thought this was hilarious! I also know about this video from a while ago, and I thought it was good, such to the point that I've found myself singing the same stuff at various intervals throughout my life since! I didn't recognize the Doctor Mario stuff, but Steven did. I got everything else though. Hee hee hee hee. :D

Saturday was AWESOME! We actually held a surprise anniversary party for my parents! They'd been thinking of going on a cruise or something to get away for some "alone time", but then my brother and sister-in-law started up this whole thing of a surprise party, and MAN! it went well! Mom and Dad both thought that they were going to "something" for my little sister's "grad", and that they were dropping my little brother off at a "rehearsal" beforehand, and then he said they should come inside and see the "set". Mom actually recognized people through the door before we could shout out "Happy Anniversary!" but when we did, she was floored! Dad wasn't terribly surprised, but then, not much surprises Dad these days. But we all still had fun! Aunt June was the social butterfly again. She's always the social butterfly.

My husband Steven just started training for one of his (multiple) jobs this summer. He's gonna be an ennumerator for the Edmonton Census! I still don't have a clue!

No art to put up this time around, and is it just me, or does this post look and sound like it was written by a twelve-year-old?
